The following guidelines address some of the frequently asked questions for patients seeking consultation. If you have any other queries, please use the form.
Referral Requirement
- A GP referral is necessary to qualify for Medicare rebates when seeing Dr. Sharma. - Referrals from other specialists are accepted but may not be eligible for Medicare rebates. - It's recommended that the referral comes from a medical practitioner who is familiar with the patient's medical and psychiatric history.
Medicare Rebate - Medicare rebate can be accessed for consultations with Dr. Sharma if you have a valid doctor's referral. - Dr. Sharma does not bulk bill, so there will be out-of-pocket costs for consultations. Specific fee details should be confirmed with the Bellbird Psychiatry admin team.
Appointment Cancellations / Rescheduling - Notify admin team via email as early as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. - Cancellation fees apply if the cancellation occurs within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment time or in case of non-attendance.
