Dr. Neena Sharma is a psychiatrist with an MBBS degree and a Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). Her educational journey is global, beginning with a medical degree in India and extending to dual Master's degrees in Public Health and Health Promotion in Australia. This diverse education provides Dr. Sharma with a broad perspective on the complexities of mental health care.
With 13 years in the field, Dr. Sharma's passion for psychiatry began as a medical officer. Her career progressed through registrar training and culminated in her achievement of the RANZCP Fellowship in 2023. Her training at Eastern Health covered acute, community, and rehabilitation sectors, and she also served as a registrar at The Delmont Hospital. Her extensive experience has sharpened her clinical skills and reinforced her dedication to psychiatric excellence.
Dr. Sharma is committed to collaborative care, involving clients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams. Her patient-centered approach ensures personalized care and support for each individual's wellness journey. Dr. Sharma provides comprehensive care tailored to address mood disorders, including anxiety, depression, and bipolar affective disorder; psychotic illnesses, including first episode psychosis and schizophrenia; and comprehensive ADHD assessment and management.

Referral Requirement
- A GP referral is necessary to qualify for Medicare rebates when seeing Dr. Sharma. - Referrals from other specialists are accepted but may not be eligible for Medicare rebates. - It's recommended that the referral comes from a medical practitioner who is familiar with the patient's medical and psychiatric history.
